It’s been a challenging year on so many fronts. The retail sector has been hit particularly badly, with us being forced to shop online for all but essential items. The floundering high street has been on its knees with the lack of trade. Whilst the convenience of online shopping is undeniable, when you’re looking to purchase electrical equipment, however good the website there’s nothing better than looking at it for yourself in the shop; particularly with TV’s and sound systems. A new state of the art TV for example is a big investment for most people and it makes sense to see what you are buying before you make that purchase, particularly with the bewildering array of technical terms like OLED, QLED, UHD, SUHD, Picture engine, PQI and HDR. How do you know whether you want the top of the range Samsung soundbar with Dolby Atmos or a more modest system unless you listen to it first? Have you even heard of Dolby Atmos? For those of you who are interested, it makes for a more immersive cinema style viewing experience when watching movies. Want to hear the roar of jet planes or helicopters overhead? Listen to Tie fighters and X Wings attack in one of the latest Star Wars instalments and be completely immersed in the soundscape. Only the newer films tend to be encoded with Atmos but with more recording studios and apps like Disney + jumping on the band wagon why not be part of the action. Either way we would be more than happy to demonstrate the features and capabilities of our stock of TV’s and sound systems.
